What are Dust Mites?

Dust mites are microscopic, insect-like pests that thrive off dead human and animal skin cells.  They don't bite or sting, and they're not parasitic - their ideal environments are dark and humid, so they're commonly found in mattresses, bedding, curtains, and carpets.
